One Month!

In a month I've had too many medical tests. I've been diagnosed with fatty liver disease (as if I needed another diagnosis, even a benign one) and have been asked to have a liver biopsy to determine the extent of it. I don't think so. The test is invasive and it isn't going to change anything, why bother? Even my oncologist said "I don't see what they are making such a big deal over." Personally, I'm getting pretty tired of my body being used as a money maker for the medical industry. So, on Friday when Dr. M. called and told me that the recent 24 hour urine test was loaded with potassium and that she suspected that my kidneys weren't reabsorbing it as they should and that she wanted to make an appointment for me to see a nephrologist; I sat listening to her and wondered if I would be fine if I just didn't go.

The good news is that chances are that I'm getting a new grandchild. My oldest son has just recently told me that I may get to meet this red-haired wonder around the middle of June 2008.
