Special Request

Lynn blogs over at “Good Things Happen”. She left a request in a comment for the recipe for my Cream of Kale, Sausage and Cheddar soup. Thanks for reading and commenting Lynn. Here it is.

16oz Breakfast Sausage (the kind that comes in the roll)

32oz chicken broth

1 medium onion chopped

1 small head of kale chopped

2 cups half and half

1 Tbls onion powder

1Tbls garlic powder

1 bay leaf

Salt to taste

2 cups cheddar cheese

Brown the sausage with the kale and onion until the sausage is cooked. Drain the fat. Pour in the chicken broth, half and half and seasonings and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese. Remove the bay leaf and enjoy.

I enjoyed this one very much and it is perfect on a cold night.
